The Journey
An unforgettable run through some of Sinai's most spectacular desert. Begin with a jeep safari across the dunes of Wadi Ghazala before walking into the White Canyon, with its smooth sandstone walls and winding natural pathways. Pause at the Mushroom Stone and the peaceful Ain Khudra oasis for a Bedouin-style vegetarian lunch and tea, then end among the towering walls of Salama Canyon.
What to expect
This is a day of contrasts — the engine’s pull across open dune, then the hush of a canyon where the only sound is your own footsteps. We cross the sands of Wadi Ghazala by jeep before walking into the White Canyon, its smooth, pale walls winding and narrowing around you.
At Ain Khudra oasis we slow right down: a vegetarian lunch and Bedouin tea on floor cushions in the shade, palms overhead, a natural spring close by. The afternoon brings the Mushroom Stone and the coloured walls of Salama Canyon before the desert releases us back toward Dahab.
Expect some walking on uneven ground, long open views, and the particular quiet that only the deep desert holds.

Pick-up from your accommodation in Dahab
Depart Dahab by jeep and head into the Sinai mountains. The road winds through rocky valleys and mountain passes as the landscape gradually opens toward the desert.

Walk through White Canyon
Leave the jeep behind for a scenic walk through the canyon's narrow passages and softly coloured rock formations, with time to take photos and explore at a relaxed pace.

Arrive at Ain Khudra Oasis
A freshly prepared vegetarian breakfast, fresh fruit, and traditional Bedouin tea in a proper Bedouin seating area of floor cushions and woven rugs. We also visit a nearby natural underground water source — an insight into how life is sustained in the desert.

Mushroom Stone
Travel by jeep to the Mushroom Stone, a distinctive natural rock formation and a favourite photo stop.
11:00
Salama Canyon
Continue by jeep to Salama Canyon for a short walk among its colourful walls and unique formations before we head back.
12:30
Return to Dahab
Arrive back at your accommodation in Dahab, concluding the trip.
